I kept seeing purpose-led work being filmed in a way that looked polished but felt flat, and when the why doesn’t land, people scroll, hesitate, and don’t take the next step.
Story first, always
So I built my work around story-first filmmaking, real people, real moments, and a clear thread of purpose, so the film doesn’t just show what you do, it carries what it means.
No scripts. No cringe.
No stiff scripts. No “say this line.” Most people don’t need more pressure, they need a calm process, clear guidance, and a camera that doesn’t turn the day into a set. The real challenge is making something honest and effective without losing the human.

About me
I’m Dan, husband, father and a solo filmmaker based in the North West, and ENGAGE VISUAL is my way of helping purpose-driven female founders and impact-led organisations turn their “why” into something people can actually feel on screen.
My focus is on founders who are building things that make life better for others, through community, creativity, equity, wellbeing or social impact.
The moment things clicked for me was at an event where a founder stepped on stage and started talking about why she began.
You could feel the whole room shift.
Not because of big production or clever visuals, but because she was honest, grounded and speaking from a real place.
That’s when I realised: if a film doesn’t capture that feeling, all the style in the world won’t make it land.
ENGAGE VISUAL grew out of that, a focus on authentic, story-first films that put people and purpose at the centre.
